About

As I am not always able to adventure to remote locations, I also like finding urban objects and alternative compositions that can be fleshed out in Lightroom and Photoshop. If I can't make it to a national park then I try and look at the world around me in a new way that perhaps others have ignored in their rush to the next selfie.

Perhaps I was inspired by National Geographic World magazine as a child, where photography was presented with a question, "What in the world is that?" If I find a puddle of spilled gasoline that looks like a screaming demon from "DOOM,” I try and transform the everyday cement of a gas station into something evocative.

Mostly, I just have fun. Although I have been paid for my work I don't intend to become a professional. It's amazing to be alive at a time when this craft is available to so many of us, and learning it has never been easier. Thanks for stopping by.
