My two passions, photography and teaching, led me to my first career in commercial photography. With the release of Photoshop 2.5, I became involved in the world of digital imaging and soon began designing for the web in addition to taking photographs. ,While working in a commercial photo studio, I was approached by my former photography instructor to speak to the teacher's students. Over time, these guest speaker spots turned into an offer for a part-time teaching position at Centennial College. I started teaching a single course to journalism students and over the years, took on more photojournalism classes, new media and advertising courses.,A former college professor of 21 years, I've taught imaging, web design, and photography at Centennial College, and web design at Humber College in Toronto, Ontario until I joined Adobe in May of 2011. Heck, I even use my smartphone more than I ever thought if I need to get a grab shot.,Photoshop, Lightroom, Rush and Adobe Mobile apps are some of the standard tools of my professional life as both a visual communicator and teacher.,Since joining Adobe in 2011, I've learned so much more about tools I never thought of using, like InDesign for online publishing and Acrobat Pro for creating forms, reviewing content and the like.,But something else has happened along the way; my personal brand has grown, expanded beyond what I ever thought possible. And this is in part due to how I utilize Behance. Along with this, I now use Behance as a platform for my tutorials.
