    4.4: Recover deleted photos, improved search, and create presets from Discover photos.

    • Recover Deleted Photos: Deleted photos now go to a Deleted album where you can recover them for up to 60 days.
    • Screenshot Auto Add Option: Decide whether or not to import screenshots while automatically importing photos from the camera roll (off by default).
    • Additional Search Facets: You can now search for photos shot with a specific focal length, for raw, HDR, or pano photo types, and for images that include a depth map. To use, start typing “focal length:”, “type:”, or “depth map:” and the search auto-complete will let you pick from the available options in your catalog.
    • Create a Preset from a Discover Photo: Turn the edits applied to a Discover photo (found in the Home section) into a preset by tapping on the three-dot menu at the top-right of the screen. The preset will be added to your collection of presets.

    • Interactive Tutorials: Found within the new Home section, interactive tutorials provide a free way to learn a wide variety of editing techniques while working within the app. Access tutorials from a range of professional photographers and photo educators, and apply the edits, step-by-step, right within Lightroom. More tutorials and authors are being added all the time.
    • Inspirational Photos: Found within the new Home section, browse through different categories of photos and tap to open and see how the photo was edited, step-by-step.
    • Texture: Accentuate or smooth medium sized details such as skin, bark, and hair with the new Texture slider, available in the Effects section, Local Adjustment Brush, Radial Filter and Graduated Filter.

    • [Premium] Ad-hoc Photo Shares: We’ve introduced the ability to create ad-hoc collections of shared images. Select a few photos, tap share, and select Share to Web. Your photos will be added to a webpage that give you control over whether or not viewers can download photos, add comments, see camera settings, or where the photo was taken.
    • New Lightroom CC Share Extension: Now in addition to the Copy to Lightroom CC iOS Share Extension, a new Lightroom CC Share Extension has been added. The new Lightroom CC Share Extension enables you to easily send multiple photos from other apps directly to Lightroom.

    Support for Shortcuts app. Lightroom is now supported directly within the Apple Shortcuts app, enabling the creation of a shortcut in which images are imported into Lightroom. You can also decide whether or not to apply one of the default presets at the time of import.

    4.1: User Interface Improvements and Bug Fixes

    • Tapping and holding to show the before state now shows the image without any edits applied. Previously, the before state disabled only the edits applied on the mobile device.
    • Introduced a new disclosure mechanism next to the All Photos album to show and hide the Lr Camera Photos, Recently Added, and People albums.
    • Introduced a mechanism to offer merge suggestions for people within the People view.
    • Fixed a bug where raw photos might not be supported if imported through Google Drive, Dropbox, and other file transfer services.

    • Improvements to organizational user interface, including two new smart folders (Lr Camera Photos and Recently Added), new Shared Albums tab to see and control all of the albums shared on lightroom.adobe.com, new multi-select mode (long tap to enter multi-select), and more.
    • Updated filter menu, enabling you to filter your images by media type, camera, location, keywords, and whether or not the image has been edited.
    • HDR and Long Exposure photos captured within the Lr Camera are now greatly reduced in size, without any apparent quality loss.
    • New Technology Preview (iPhone only): Depth Map Support. Adds in a new mode in the Lr Camera letting you capture HEIC images with depth maps as well as a new selective tool that leverages depth maps captured with the Lr Camera or other capture tools. The new Depth selection tool lets you quickly turn a depth map into a selection that can be modified with a brush, and then use the same editing tools available with other selection tools to modify your image. Depth capture requires iPhone with dual camera (iPhone 7+, 8+, X) and currently supports the rear camera only on the iPhone X.
